Urban exploration is something new I've become interested in. Its trendy, admittedly, but you can get some pretty spectacular photos, and if you are interested in history (and politics), it can be very informative. The idea is to explore abandoned locations in cities. That doesn't mean just looking for decay, but that often comes with the territory. There is some natural appeal to me in that, in a country where seemingly every inch of real estate is used, it is fascinating to see places completely abandoned. Not only that, but there are usually interesting stories, often political, about why these places were abandoned. These sites usually offer a pretty eerie, yet calm (but definitely still eerie!) atmosphere that is hard to get anywhere else.
